The Systemic Tale (or Storytelling)

A simple interactive exploration of the concept.

This game helps the reader understand the concept of The Systemic Tale (or Storytelling) described by Caillé and Rey in 2017.

Through the game, the user explores the basic structure needed to build a metaphorical goodbye story between a child and a caregiver: past, present, separation, and future.

There are no wrong choices. Each path creates a different symbolic story. The aim is to understand how separation can be transformed into a meaningful narrative.

Past: Choose the symbolic world

Choose freely. Any answer is correct. The selected world and belief will shape a coherent metaphorical story.

Present: The helping relationship

In The Systemic Tale, the present part of the story focuses on the relationship between the child and the caregiver. Choose what the caregiver helped the child discover.

Goodbye: What remains after separation?

The caregiver cannot stay forever. But the child can carry something from the relationship forward.
